There are many different reasons for buying a heavy duty flashlight as opposed to a cheaper counterpart. These flashlights have many advantages, and this isn't being lost on normal consumers and outdoors lovers alike. Read on to learn why these are often a good purchase.
First, heavy duty flashlights are built to last. They are often built from metal and stronger substances than the easier to break plastic. This not only guarantees that these lights will last a lot longer, but they are also often brighter and give a better quality of light for camping trips, night hikes, or any other similar night time activities while out in the great outdoors.
The second reason that these flashlights are superior is because of the self defense factor. A small rubber grip plastic light won't make for much of a club during a self defense situation. Have you ever seen the flashlights used by police officers or state troopers? Not only is the light on those things great, but they are like foot and a half to two feet long clubs. A good heavy duty flashlight makes for an excellent self defense weapon.
The third reason comes down to survival use. If you ever find yourself in a wilderness survival situation, a big time flashlight is going to be worth a lot more in a survival situation than a plastic one is. From the self defense to the better signaling light, the heavy duty flashlight is better in every way. Even if it stops working, the container without the batteries holds more water, matches, food, whatever.
These are three great reasons to help show you why heavy duty flashlights are superior to their cheaper counterparts. If you're in the market for a good flashlight, then it definitely is in your interest to at least take a look at a really good heavy duty flashlight.
